SaidStore Privacy Policy

SaidStore is an app for recording talks and conversations at events, keeping notes, and remembering the people you meet. This policy says what it does with your information. The short version: your recordings, transcripts, notes and contacts stay on your iPhone. Nothing leaves it unless you turn on Cloud features, and then only the specific things listed below.

What stays on your iPhone

Everything you create in the app: recordings, transcripts, summaries, comments, photos you add to a session, events, people, notes and actions. This is stored in the app's private storage on your iPhone. SaidStore has no accounts, no sign-in, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking, and it does not sell or share your information.

The app does not store anyone's email address or phone number. When you choose "Create phone contact", the name, job title, company and LinkedIn link are handed to the iPhone's Contacts screen, and you decide whether to save them.

If you use iCloud Backup for your iPhone, Apple may include the app's data in that backup, under Apple's terms. Backups you make with SaidStore's own Backup & Restore feature go only where you choose to send them. SaidStore uploads nothing.

Cloud features (off unless you allow them)

When the app first opens, you choose whether to allow Cloud features. You can change this at any time in Settings. If you allow them, the app uses a small service run by SaidStore to reach three outside providers. The service passes your request on and does not keep your content.

These providers handle the information under their own terms and privacy policies, summarised here from their published pages as of October 2026:

What the SaidStore service keeps

Each install of the app creates a random identifier that is not tied to your name or any account. It is sent with each cloud request so that daily usage limits can be applied. The service keeps only usage counters under that identifier, and they expire after three days. It keeps no audio, transcripts, summaries or names. Like most web services, its hosting provider (Cloudflare) may keep standard technical logs, such as the time and success or failure of a request.

What the app asks permission for

Recording other people

Laws about recording conversations vary by country and place. You are responsible for telling people and getting their agreement where the law requires it.

Children

SaidStore is not directed at children.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, the change will be shown in the app before it takes effect.
